K9 Team of the Month

 

 

Meet our September K9 Team of the Month:

​

Officer Rick Helm and K9 Askan work for the New Berlin Police Department and have been partnered together since 2014.

​

Askan was only 14 months old when he hit the streets. He is a dual purpose K9 trained in druganjd suspect apprehension.

 

Rick & Askan received the following awards from the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Canine Handler Association (WLECHA):

 

Handler of the year 2018

Meritorious track with apprehension 2018

Meritorious apprehension 2016

Meritorious article find 2016.

​

Askan is currently 9 years old and on his off time loves hanging out at home with his family at the camp fire, hiking, & swimming.
