K9 Unos, a retired K9 of the Milwaukee County Community Reintegration Center, passed away in May 2025 from a medical issue. K9 Unos in his retirement continued to serve as a teaching K9 for new veterinarians and support staff understanding the needs of working K9s.
In addition, he served with the OPK9 Medical Team of Wisconsin as an educational K9, to help first responders and K9 handlers learn medical care on K9s working in the field. Unos was a very patient, loving K9 who gave so much to the community alongside his handler Shelby. Unos, you will be missed.
